Bio

Me, sitting outside after roller skating.

I’m Tessa Sain, a current undergraduate student at Drexel University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Animation and Visual Effects with knowledge in 3D modeling, design, pre-production, texture work, rigging, and 3D and 2D animation. Recently, I completed a six month internship as a 2D Animator and Character Designer for NewPoint Strategies’ animated series “Who Does That?”.

In my free time, I like to do both digital and traditional art for original concepts, as well as art for media that I am a fan of. My passion for animation comes from my enjoyment of digital media and immersive experiences, as well as my lifelong dedication to artistry. Aside from art, I enjoy making music, playing the clarinet, bug collecting, writing, re-reading some of my favorite series, and spending time with my cats. All of these hobbies inform and contribute to my art, but have also shaped me into the person that I am today.

When searching for a field to go into, I wanted to combine my desire for creativity with my desire to work in the production pipeline for movies and video games–which is where I hope to be in a few years’ time. Along with the passion for being a part of a creative project, I also have an interest in illustration and graphic design. I’m an artist at heart, so being able to create outside of animation is also a rewarding process. For this reason, I’m looking to declare a minor in Graphic Design, and pursue that on the side. As long as I’m creating, I’m happy!
